Privacy Policy

When you sign up, we store your email address and a login credential through Supabase Auth. We use your email to sign you in, to recover your account and to send essential service messages. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Everything you create in a signed in account, including strokes, text, folders and canvas structure, is stored in our Supabase database so it can sync across your devices. Photos you add are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. Access is limited to your account.

Live Notes and the illustration tools rely on third party AI providers. When you use them:

• Audio from your microphone is sent in short chunks to Groq for transcription. We do not store your audio. It is processed and discarded.
• The resulting transcript text is sent to an AI language model through OpenRouter, which turns it into structured notes or a diagram.
• When you ask for an illustration, the relevant paragraph is sent to OpenAI to generate the image, which is then saved to your canvas.

These providers process the data to return a result to you, under their own terms and privacy policies. Only use Live Notes where you have the right to record, and let people know when you do.

If you use Borderless without an account, your canvases stay in your browser's local storage on that device. They never reach our servers unless you use an AI feature, which sends only the data described above. Clearing your browser data deletes them for good.

• No ads, and no ad trackers.
• No selling or renting your data, to anyone, ever.
• No training of our own models on your notes.

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work offline. Nothing for advertising.

You can delete any canvas inside the app at any time. To delete your whole account and everything attached to it, open your profile menu and choose Delete account, or visit the account deletion page. You can also email hello@ibuiltthis.ai from the address you signed up with, and we will delete it within 7 days. You can ask us for a copy of your data the same way.

Data travels over HTTPS and is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. No system is perfect, but we keep access tight and collect as little as we can.

Borderless is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
